A note from Sean: When Alison and I met, all the great things I've heard senior executives tell me about her came into immediate focus. She brings amazing talent and energy to her clients, and I am thrilled to have her experience as a facilitator, trainer and coach as part of our team. Alison is Managing Director at Alto Solutions; I hope you'll take a moment to check out more information about Alison's capabilities and the clients she serves.
Alison Torrillo French, in her own words:
Just as voices come together in a specific musical pattern to create an ear-pleasing chord, individuals and businesses need the right relationships to achieve success in a dynamic environment.
As an experienced facilitator, trainer and coach, I thrive on helping organizations and individuals to build those relationships, to make the right connections and decisions, and to achieve success in a dynamic environment.
For nearly 20 years, I have led projects within the education, government, and private sector organizations. I have facilitated strategic planning meetings, corporate retreats and skills training workshops; conducted in-depth change, leadership and product assessments; developed and deployed strategic communication campaigns; and been recognized as a trusted adviser and go-to person by many clients.
My accomplishments range from being rated as a top instructor for the Deloitte Consulting Milestone Program and launching a career mentoring program for BearingPoint, to building and deploying a comprehensive change plan for a major Defense technology initiative with more than 7,000 end users, which, through direct engagement with top leaders, significantly influenced positive perception of the initiative and elevated its change management program to become recognized as a model within the agency.
My Federal clients include the General Services Administration (GSA), US Air Force, US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service and Natural Resources Conversation Service (NRCS), Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). I have also worked with private and nonprofit organizations and individual career coaching clients.
Prior to my work in Big Four consulting, I helped build the graduate marketing program for the College of Arts and Sciences at American University, orchestrated fundraising campaigns and events for a Capitol Hill nonprofit, and helped run a small hospitality consulting startup in New York City. In addition, I contributed to the book "Leverage: How to Get It and How to Keep It in Any Negotiation" (Volkema, R. 2006) and to a best practices study on Lessons Learned from the Government to Government Shared Services Environment, as part of the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) (December 31, 2007).
I was recently the featured speaker for the Kevin Eikenberry Group’s Remarkable Learning teleseminar on “The Secret to Managing Difficult and Resistant Employees.”
I hold a Bachelor's degree with distinction in communications from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from the Kogod School of Business at American University.
