Jason Smith

Jason Smith is an experienced human capital consultant and project manager. His engagements include a wide range of human resources and human capital functions, including:

  • Organizational assessment and design.

  • Human capital strategic planning.

  • Job analysis and Competency modeling.

  • Workforce planning, including staff selection, training, compensation, and performance management.

He has conducted assessments to diagnose the underlying causes of organizational challenges; designed interventions to enhance productivity, efficiency, morale, and retention; developed new organizational structures to support changing strategic needs; and created plans and processes for better selecting, training, and appraising employees.

Jason has worked with and assessed numerous occupations in a diverse set of fields including technology, engineering, wildlife and natural resources management, acquisition and procurement, biology, alternative fuels, logistics, project and program management, transportation, defense, and finance.  Former clients include over 40 federal, state, non-profit, and for-profit organizations. Recent clients include the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, the State of Hawaii, and the State of Virginia.

Jason earned his Masters degree from the Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business, and his Bachelors from Southern Illinois University.
